We offer a perspective on urban missions and social outreach that is forged out of 4 decades of living and working alongside the poor at Jesus People. Groups of all ages and backgrounds have come from all over the world to work with the homeless and to experience intentional Christian community.
We partner with Cornerstone Community Outreach: one of the largest homeless shelters in Chicago, serving over 300 people daily. Work projects at CCO include serving meals to the residents, unloading trucks, assembling food bags, sorting donations at the freestore, painting and fixing up living areas.
Wilson Abbey offers opportunities to engage the neighborhood of Uptown through art and music. There are break-out rooms for meetings or to conduct seminars.
